MG Motor Unveils the New MG HS: Redefining the Mid-Size SUV Segment in the Middle East
(7 January 2025) – MG Motor has officially launched the new MG HS, a dynamic and stylish mid-size SUV now available across the GCC, Iraq, and Jordan. Starting at USD 21,600 (excluding VAT), the new MG HS builds on the legacy of its award-winning predecessor, which earned the title of Middle East Car of the Year in 2020. This next-generation model introduces a fresh design and advanced technology, aiming to redefine the mid-size SUV segment by offering a perfect blend of style, performance, and innovation.
The MG HS is crafted to meet the needs of younger buyers who prioritize a combination of sporty aesthetics, cutting-edge technology, and driving performance. It comes with luxurious interiors and advanced features, including dual 12.3-inch HD screens and a premium BOSE audio system. The new model also prioritizes safety, boasting a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a comprehensive range of safety features, such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Automated Emergency Braking.
Under the hood, the new MG HS offers two powerful engine choices: a 1.5T engine producing 173 hp, and a 2.0T engine delivering 231 hp, both paired with advanced transmissions for a smooth driving experience. The vehicle’s handling dynamics, along with superior noise and vibration control, enhance the driving pleasure, while the sporty steering wheel adds a sense of excitement.
The MG HS stands out visually with its bold design, featuring ‘Hunting Eye’ LED headlights and ‘The Shard’ full-length LED taillights. Inside, the SUV offers a tech-filled digital cockpit with dual HD screens, a premium BOSE audio system, and convenience features like dual-zone air conditioning, wireless charging, and seamless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The MG HS also excels in practicality, offering a spacious interior with a versatile cargo capacity of up to 1,397 litres, making it ideal for both family adventures and everyday commutes.
