Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence arm of the Alibaba Group has partnered with Dubai Holding to enhance the capabilities of its Dubai-based data centre. The collaboration aims to upgrade the facility with state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure, advanced analytics, databases, industry-specific solutions, and AI services, providing customers with the best possible digital solutions during their digitalisation journey.
Through this partnership, Alibaba Cloud will offer its local customers a range of proven infrastructure products, including the 6th Generation Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance and the latest Elastic Block Storage (EBS) service. These products offer higher computing capacity, bandwidth, lower latency and improved performance, providing enterprise customers with a wider scope of cloud services covering network, storage, security, and computing.
Moreover, the upgraded data centre will provide best-in-class cloud solutions that meet business needs, along with the latest analytics tools to improve business operations and performance. Additionally, it will include a revamp of its advanced database, enabling faster and more efficient data processing.
The partnership will also provide industry-specific solutions and AI-powered services that will address the unique challenges of a customer’s industry and drive better results. The announcement was made during Alibaba Cloud’s Cloud Day summit in Dubai, in the presence of Dubai Holding’s Chief Technology Officer Boris Rusafov and Daniel Jiang, General Manager of the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence.
Jiang emphasized that the partnership with Dubai Holding is in line with Alibaba Cloud’s commitment to continuously investing in the Middle East region and supporting local businesses with their digital transformation journey. The upgraded data centre will enable local businesses to achieve stronger growth and better respond to the evolving digital landscape across the region by providing more robust, secure, and high-performing capabilities.
