Honor’s CEO George Zhao: UAE and Saudi Arabia are crucial markets for the company’s product portfolio

Honor Device Co. Ltd.’s CEO, George Zhao, has revealed that the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region are crucial to Honor’s global strategy. Speaking at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Zhao highlighted the success of the company’s recent device launches in the region and their plans to offer their full product portfolio, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and smartwatches.

Honor’s focus as a technology company is on providing a better user experience, as seen in their interconnectivity between devices and unique features such as call privacy and antenna designs. Despite rising component costs, the brand aims to continue innovating and providing value to its customers, as exemplified by its latest offering, the Honor Magic5 Pro, which boasts advanced features such as privacy software, AI-enabled capabilities, and a Falcon camera system with 100x zoom.

Honor, a technology company with a strong presence in China and expanding market share in other countries such as Malaysia, Europe, and Latin America, has emphasized its commitment to providing a combined solution across all markets. The company’s CEO, George Zhao, stated that Honor has been successful in fulfilling customer requirements in Europe, but faces challenges in the US market, which they are working hard to overcome.

Despite having to work with individual markets, hardware, and software partners, Honor believes in a ‘glocal’ approach, where they cater to both global and local needs. Zhao expects the launch gaps between different markets to narrow in the near future as Honor continues to innovate and provide value to its customers.
