Developer WB Games Montréal has released a new trailer showing gameplay footage from the PC version of the upcoming Gotham Knights game. The game is scheduled to debut on October 2022. Ray tracing, extremely high frame rates, 4K resolution, ultrawide and multiple monitors support, and Intel AI-enhanced upscaling make this game the best-looking one in the Batman world for consoles and computers.
All the versions of Gotham Knight show off an incredibly detailed Gotham City that Batgirl, Red Hood, Nightwing, and Robin must protect since Batman has seemingly been killed. Players must go through many narratives to get the whole plot since each character’s story will present the events from their point of view. Since each of these heroes has distinct skills and playstyles, each tale will seem different from the others and increase the game’s replay ability.
There are some of the foes that players will already be familiar with, such as Mr. Freeze, but there are others, like the Court of the Owls, that players have never encountered in the prior Batman games. We have no idea how strong these new adversaries are since they have never before appeared in the movies. It’s good to see fresh antagonists exclusive to fans of the Batman comics or the Gotham television series, which is their own significant media appearance.
Batman was the only character you could play, as in earlier Arkham games; you weren’t given a choice (outside of the DLC). So, when you can choose whom, you want to play with, utilizing their weapons and vehicles that you haven’t had the opportunity to use before, Gotham Knights will give you an entirely new experience. We can’t wait to cruise Gotham on Batgirl’s motorcycle; based on the video, it looks incredible. Additionally, it will be good to have the choice of controlling one of the male heroes or a female hero and exploring Gotham from the perspective of someone other than Batman.
Glimpse: A world without Batman
The Dark Knight has passed away; therefore, the game will start in Gotham City without him. We will have to assume control of the situation the way he did via the Bat-family member’s Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. Since we are taking on the job as a team, all of the former friends of the caped crusader must prevent all the criminals from wreaking utter havoc in the city and trying to fill the void left by the finest investigator in the whole globe.
Gotham Knights is a must-play game for fans of the Batman franchise or even just great-looking games full of action and fun characters that we haven’t had a chance to play before. Whether you play on a console or a computer, you’ll love defending Gotham with all these characters you wouldn’t often play as. They’ll have big shoes to fill now that Batman has departed.
