Dubai WGS 2023: Musk discloses plans for Twitter growth, including the appointment of a new CEO

Twitter should be able to facilitate payments and offer financial services in five years, CEO Elon Musk said at the World Government Summit in Dubai. The World’s Richest Man spoke to UAE Cabinet Minister Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the World Government Summit WGS 2023.

On WGS, he talked about how he is focusing on his social platform this year and when he plans to hire a CEO. “I think I have to stabilize the organization and make sure it is financially sound. It has to have a proper production plan. I think by the end of this year I should be able to find someone,” he told Al Gergaw. Musk said the social platform is stepping up its efforts to vet people and organizations to prevent misinformation and fake news.

“Not sure about that. . . will succeed or be perfect, but I’m sure it’s going in a good direction,” he said. “Twitter is a reverse startup, and it takes a lot of work to get a stable position on Twitter. I don’t want to work like crazy, only an 80-hour work week is good and that’s what I strive for”, he added.
