Dubai introduces the metaverse for dispute resolution

The Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) has recently launched a new Metaverse for dispute resolution, making it the first international arbitration centre in the world to introduce such technology. The Metaverse offers a virtual reality space where parties involved in a dispute can participate in the arbitration process from anywhere in the world. This innovative technology has been developed with the aim of making arbitration more sustainable and eco-friendly by eliminating the need for physical transportation.

The Metaverse for dispute resolution is a significant step forward in alternative dispute resolution services, providing a higher level of accessibility and effectiveness for the parties involved. With this new offering, DIAC can provide an even higher level of alternative dispute resolution services that are both effective and accessible, enabling the centre to enhance its capabilities to offer innovative and novel methods for resolving disputes.

Dubai has long been at the forefront of innovation and technology, and the launch of the DIAC Metaverse reinforces its position as a global metaverse hub. The introduction of this technology is a reflection of the city’s vision to embrace cutting-edge technologies and offer novel solutions to everyday problems.

Dr Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of DIAC, expressed his excitement for the launch of this new technology, which he believes reinforces DIAC’s position as a leading international arbitration center. He said, “The launch of DIAC’s Metaverse came after months of hard work and dedication from the team. This new offering reflects our vision to be the ultimate global destination for dispute resolution and enhances our capabilities to offer innovative and novel methods for resolving disputes.”
